Introduction

Fashion Marketing and Merchandising (FM&M) degree programme at Superior University has been designed to prepare students for rapidly growing retail and manufacturing industry across the globe. This degree programme is a blend of management, textile, fashion and digital communication subjects. It is intended to develop Superior students into specialized professionals in the fields of creative fashion marketing and.

It is designed to provide undergraduate students with learning opportunities including all phases of the business side of fashion instead of focusing on a specific feature of the fashion industry. The program presents a variety of courses covering topics such as the process of business and global fashion, as well as the timeline and phases needed to take a product from the perception stage to the user. During the program, students will examine fashion forecasting, product development, product analysis, procurement, industrial, merchandising, retailing, branding, and marketing, as well as the business interactions between various stakeholders.

The fashion industry does not only comprise of textiles or garments, but it is expanded over fashion accessories, leather products, jewelry, watches, interiors of homes etc. Anything associated with human usage needs upgradation with change in innovation, technology, need and usage globally. Fashion industry is in need of dynamic, creative and innovative minds who can understand fashion and at the same time are good managers, marketers, merchandisers and fashion forecasters with entrepreneurial skills. This degree aims to impart different skills in the students to cater the needs of the global industry.

Our Fashion Marketing & Management major immerses students in world of fashion from every angle–from raw materials to design and production-to the all-important business side of the industry. You’ll learn how to succeed at retail promotion, visual merchandising and pricing and how to manage a business, whether you wind up owning your own or working at a major retailer or design house.
